Frequently asked questions about DPC

No. Concierge practices still bill insurance and typically charge $150–$300+/month on top of copays. Kennedy DPC does not bill insurance at all. One transparent monthly fee — starting at $50 for founding members — is all you pay for primary care.
No — and we'll always be upfront about that. Kennedy DPC is not insurance. It handles your primary care comprehensively, but you'll still need coverage for hospitalizations, specialist referrals, emergencies, imaging, and surgeries. DPC works best as a complement to a basic health plan.
Members can access medications at wholesale or deeply discounted rates through our practice — often a fraction of retail pharmacy prices. These medications are billed separately at cost; they are not included in the monthly membership fee. The savings can be substantial for patients on regular prescriptions.
We aim to see our members promptly — often the same day or next day, depending on availability and the nature of your concern. Because our patient panels are small, we have far more scheduling flexibility than a traditional practice. That said, specific availability will depend on the day and clinical schedule. Call us and we'll work to get you in quickly.
If you have insurance, Kennedy DPC handles all your primary care needs for one flat fee — eliminating copays and deductible charges on those visits. Your insurance remains active for anything outside primary care: specialists, ER, hospitalization, imaging. Many insured members find DPC eliminates most of what they were actually paying out of pocket day-to-day.
DPC memberships are expected to become HSA-eligible in 2026 under pending federal legislation. Cash-pay services — labs, physicals, and other add-ons — may already be eligible. Consult your HSA plan administrator for guidance specific to your account.
